Weaknesses.

8:27 PM

Today you might be aware of your weaknesses. They’re standing there-blindingly obvious. You might feel crippled by them-like a massive weight on your shoulders. They might be whispering lies that you aren’t good enough. Yet, for every weakness, for every shortcoming, for every mistake there is transformative, forgiving, and beautiful grace.
Consider Paul who said in 2 Corinthians 12 that he was sent a thorn in his flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass him. He pleaded with God three times to remove this thorn. But God said to him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So Paul replied that he will boast all the more in his weaknesses-so that the power of Christ may rest upon him.
Our weaknesses, our failures reveal our need for Jesus. They show us how incredibly weak and human we are and push us towards the only One where true strength is derived. Are you struggling with something and getting frustrated because of failure? Have you looked at your weakness through the lens Paul had? Let’s use our sin, our failure, our mistakes as a springboard to worship Jesus more, to see Him as ultimate, to see Him as strong, to see Him as the only fount of living water which we must constantly drink from.
